Zo Minam Ni (Chin National Day)

On 19 February 2022, ZEWG celebrated “Zo Minam Ni” with students, parents, teachers, and invited special guests, i.e. Dr. Pum Khan Pau, Rev. Pau Lian Mang, Dr. Don Sian Man, and Lia Kimkim Shoute. Zo/Chin National Day is the day to remember and appreciate Zo people as an ethnic group in the world who has their own culture, custom, language, and law. It is also the day to remind the world and ourselves that the Zo people are always willing and persuading the co-existence and creation of a peaceful society with other ethnic groups in the world.

In our event, in addition to our honored guests, ZEWG students drew pictures related to the Zo Minam Ni and the Zo National Symbol (Great Hornbill Bird), did fashion shows with Zomi customs, and sang songs.
